Tamer Şahin

It all started with the computer that was given to the little boy in installments... Tamer Şahin, born in 1981, was accused of breaking into the computer systems of Turkey's largest Internet service provider when he was just 18 years old. Documentaries were made about, and he appeared as the character “Hacker Tamer” in action series such as Valley of the Wolves and Crazy Heart.

Tamer Şahin, an expert in Cyber Security, studied the philosophy of Ethical Hacking and concentrated on institutionalizing his professional life. He has consulted on a variety of Cybersecurity related cases, both nationally and internationally.

He used his ability to detect vulnerabilities in numerous computer systems. Developed the defense strategies of some of the leading organizations of the private sector and public institutions.

Installed one of the first commercial Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Infrastructures. This software and infrastructure have been used in Türk Telekom and İş Bank for many years. Şahin is one of the developers of “Mindwall IDS”, one of the first Intrusion Detection software developed for the US and world market. Mindwall Intrusion Detection Software has received early stage investments from the US and has been tested by institutions such as JPMorgan Chase Bank, Citibank, AT&T.

Clients include world-class companies and government agencies such as Philip Morris, United Biscuits, Nestlé, Hilton, Saint Gobain, Godiva, HDI Insurance, Heinemann, Deutsche Welthungerhilfe, Kässbohrer, CNN Türk, Türk Telekom, İş Bank, Eurasia Tunnel, Government of the Philippines, Central Bank of Turkey Cumguriyeti.
