Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin

Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin; After graduating from Saint Michel French High School in 1987 and Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1991, he completed his graduate studies at Istanbul University in 1993. In 1996, he completed his doctorate again at the same University and received the title of “associate professor” in 1997 and “professor” in 2002.

Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, who served as Consultant to the President of İMKB between 1999-2003, and as a member of the General Secretariat of TIM and Member of the Tax Council in 2000; worked at Çukurova Holding, Doğan Holding, Anadolu Holding and Altınbaş Holding. Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, who has been an economics columnist in various newspapers, television channels such as TV8, SKYTÜRK, A HABER, CNNTURK, TRT HABER, TV100, presents the heroes in us with his page in the Dünya Gazette titled “Sharingmasak Olmazdı”.

Alkin, who served as Vice-Rector of Altınbaş University, was also a member of the Board of Directors of Göztepe Sportif A.Ş., one of Izmir's sports clubs and the General Secretariat of the Turkish Football Federation. Between 2017 and 2019, he served as an Independent Board Member of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. Starting in August 2021, he started his position as Vice Rector of Ayvansaray University and was appointed as Rector of Ayvansaray University in October 2021. Alkin participates in national and international studies between companies and the public on “Dispute Resolution”. He works in international companies related to Payment Systems, Mobile Technologies, Finance and Financial Issues.

Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin wrote “Risk Management”, “Evolution of Financial Mediation”, “Introduction to Risk Management in Banks”, “Yesterday to Today Gaziantep”, “Everything Is Not Economics”, “We Would Not Share”, “The Art of Fikret Mualla” and was selected as the best business book of 2017” He has eight books, one of which is in English, titled “Turkish Economy with Events”. In addition, his book “Seve Seve Aldattım”, which he wrote about the evolution of human relations from yesterday to today, was also among the best-selling books of 2017. He also made a big splash with his first novel, “Woman Seeking Perfection”, which was released in November 2019. The book “Exit from the Economy”, which was released in November 2019, was highly appreciated and all of its income was donated to the Address of Social Assistance of Happiness Donated to the Society.
